I retired from teaching students with visual impairments and blindness in June 2022, and moved to Wasilla, AK. My children and my grandchildren live nearby.
In 2018 I received my Educational Doctorate (Ed.D.) from Portland State University - a personal goal since 1976. I now work part-time for PSU as a university supervisor for practicum and student teachers in the field of teachers of students with visual impairments (TVI).
I was married from 1980 until 2013 to an AF F-16 pilot and we moved around to all the places above (except Alaska). We shared the many adventures and experiences that come with military life and moving to new places.
Life is good! I visited Central High School this last October for the 100th year celebration and it brought back so many fun, happy, and cherished memories. I can’t wait to see everyone at our reunion!
